1- What does temporary staffing mean?

When you need to temporarily increase the size of your healthcare staff and expand your workforce, temporary medical staffing is the perfect option. This can be a result of employee absences, temporary skill shortages, seasonal workloads and special projects. Depending on your organization’s need, a temporary assignment can last a day, a week, a month, several months, or perhaps even longer. It can also be the perfect solution to a particularly difficult shift you need to cover regularly.

2- Who is the employer of record for a temporary worker?

We consider our temporary medical staff to be Staff Providers Field Associates. Since our Field Associates are on the Staff Providers payroll, Staff Providers is the employer of record. We are responsible for paying all applicable payroll taxes and maintaining all applicable insurances such as worker’s compensation.

3- What does temporary to direct hire staffing mean?

Many of our clients enjoy the benefits of hiring a temporary employee in order to ultimately fill a direct hire opening within their organization.

Sometimes our clients let us know ahead of time that they would like to hire a temporary employee who may be considered for a direct hire position. It is also possible that the temporary employee we provide to a client demonstrates such outstanding value and good work chemistry resulting in our client wanting to extend an offer for direct employment. Both of these scenarios are considered ‘temporary to direct hire’ or ‘temp to direct.’ Once both the candidate and client feel the placement is a good fit, a successful placement is made.

4- What does Direct Hire staffing mean?

A traditional Direct Hire takes place without a temporary work assignment occurring first. The client describes to a Staff Providers Medical Staffing Coordinator a particular open position at their organization that needs to be filled and then one of our Staffing Coordinators searches for top candidates to be interviewed and considered for the position. Once you have made a decision, Staff Providers will extend an offer to the individual and a direct hire is made. Direct Hires are different from ‘temp to directs’ because the candidate does not start as a temp on the Staff Providers payroll, they start from day one as an employee of your organization.

5- Does Staff Providers, LLC prefer if our candidates work for our client companies on a temporary, temporary to direct, or direct hire basis?

We are happy to serve our client companies and candidates in the manner that best suits their individual need. We are pleased to offer options such as temporary, temporary to direct, or direct hire. Our goal is to meet your needs by providing the best staffing advice and service with diligence, professionalism, and enthusiasm.

6- As a Staff Providers Field Associate, when do I get paid on a temporary assignment?

Staff Providers, LLC pays all of its Field Associates weekly.

7- When I’m on a temporary assignment, from where can I get a timesheet?

Timesheets can be downloaded from our website.

8- Do you accept walk-ins for an interview?

We ask all potential candidates to forward their resumes to us via email. Once we have reviewed your resume, you will be contacted by one of our Staffing Coordinators for a personal interview.

9- Do you have Direct Deposit?

Yes. If you are on a temporary assignment and would like to be paid through Direct Deposit please inform our Office Administrator.

10- If I registered with Staff Providers 3 years ago, do I need to come back in and fill out a new application?

If you have been out of touch with our Staffing Coordinators; yes, you would need to fill out a new application. However, if you have been steadily working through our firm, there is no need to re-apply.

11- How much does it cost to sign up for Staff Providers Patient-Centric Customer Service Training Program?

These popular classes are FREE and we offer them to all of our registered candidates.

12- I love my work as a Staff Providers Field Associate. How can I refer my friend?

We happily accept referrals and offer you the ability to earn a total of $3,000! We offer $200 referral bonuses for each successful referral. Once you have made 10 successful referrals, we will give you another $1,000.
